在歐美國家，自學的腳步比台灣提早了好幾十年。像是英國夏山學校從1921年，就吹起自學風氣，2012年美國5到17歲在家自學學生人數，高達177萬人；波蘭在2000年的時候，推出適性探索年方案，讓國小升國中的孩子，有一整年的時間，安排更多適性發展的探索課程。大愛新聞透過美國與波蘭的兩個自學家庭故事，帶您一塊了解，他們對自學的想法與追求。

Since last summer, Owen was working very hard to prepare a dance show.  The dance school he goes to had a huge dance performance in November.  He worked for many months, danced over 20 hours a week on top of all of other studies he needed to attend to.

This week, in middle school and high school kids science class, we talked about statics and physics.  We worked on experiements which showed kids the how to balance force.

探索波動的物理學及實驗 

Owen在去年在【皇恩浩蕩】裡客串了男主角，宋瑾的小時候，終於把照片整理出來了!

在這星期的科學課，大孩子們探索了物理學的滑輪、施力、省力實驗 (Introduction to Physics Force & Pulley with Experiments)。大家嘗試著做出最升力的方法來拉重力，好玩又有趣!

Higher grade kids have studied Physics Proce and Pulley system this week.  They experiemented with coming up with a pulling system that uses least amount of force but can pull the maximum weight.

In this week's coding class, Owen and Jas worked hard trying to debug their spinner robot. It worked great _sometimes_! But they kept running into alignment issues.
