Lego Mindstorms EV3 Programming - sketching out what to doOver the weekend Mr. John saw a video from a young woman who studies robotics. Her advice on how to learn robotics was to tear things apart and then put them back together.

So in this week's Lego Mindstorms EV3 class,  the kids tore apart the elephant robot they made from instructions during the last several classes. They then needed to diagram the motors and gears. And then put the robots back together.

The first elephant robot they tore apart much too quickly without taking sufficient notes. So the boys gave up and Ella decided to rebuild that elephant by herself. The boys then took the second elephant apart much more carefully.

At the end of the class the elephants were all back together. With only a few loose Lego pieces left over.
