In this week's coding class we discussed program threads and how Lego Mindstorms software allows kids to create multi-threaded programming. The kids finished building the Znap robot from instructions and then started programming it with only the rough outline that was written on the board as a guide. They need to use multiple loops, variables, and a new loop interrupt instruction.

In this week's coding class we wrote a color calibration program to ensure the EV3 color sensor always works in any light situation. We also ended up having a mini-science class discussing how reflective light affects color perception. If a blue toy is in a closed room with only a red light shining on it, what color does the toy look like?

In this class, we learned about soil liquefaction. We did our own experiments and simulated the p-wave and s-wave recording.
